meet the pro

Alex holds a B.Sc. in Exercise Science from Colorado State University - Pueblo where he played tennis on scholarship. Alex was named a First Team all Conference Singles and Doubles  player in his Senior year, leading the CSU-P to a national showing. Returning home, Alex has won many of Manitoba’s provincial tournament titles, including the Manitoba Open Singles and Doubles Championships. 

Alex is a Tennis Canada certified tennis coach. He has been with WLTC for 5 years, as an Assistant Pro for 2 years and will be heading into his 3rd year as Head Pro. He has been lucky to have great mentors along the way to help push and motivate him to continue to improve his coaching. He coaches with a philosophy in learning through discovery and remembering that tennis is for enjoyment first. Alex has coached players as young as 3 (!) National champions (!) and players in their 90’s (!), and more importantly has enjoyed coaching and seeing improvement in all age ranges and capabilities.
